The countless copycat franchises that have fallen by the wayside – Spyro, Blinx, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger and Tak to name just a few – all failed because they lacked inspiration and character. What sets Nintendo platformers apart is elusive, but it probably comes down to one word: soul. The co-op mode, where one person controls Mario and the other Cappy, feels like an afterthought. And some of the apparently well-hidden secrets are a little obvious. Criticisms: at times Odyssey is too easy. With Power Moon Locations, Purple Coin Locations, Cheats and Secrets, and of course, a huge Walkthrough to every level and boss fight, your Odyssey begins here.
